Well. Quite contraty to my last entry I've now been working at Vivid over a month *laughs* Working way up to assistant manager actually *shock* *horror* But holy shit I think maybe I should have thought long and hard before taking a job at a store where I basically want every last thing in it! So far I've bought two skirts, two pairs of the funkiest friggin' earings ever, and a really cool silver bracelet with this silver rhinestone bejeweled oval on the end as a charm, heh. And that's just from my store *lol* There's this store called TNA right across the street where I've already got myself a pair of army greenish brown cargo pants with drawstrings at the bottom to turn them into capris when I please My aunt calls them parachute pants and apparently they were huge in the 70's *dies* Feels like every god damned thing I wear was already worn by an aunt or my mom or something XD Oh! And that's also not counting the jacket I have on frigging layaway that matches the pants and has hood and cargo pockets and lil' military-ish style buckles and doo bobs all over. And for christ's sake my boss went and special ordered a cute silver necklace with rhinestone covered martini glass pendant. It's got two red jewelz for cherries on it *lmao* She ordered it for me because I was whining that someone came and bought it and we only get one of each piece of jewelery unless it comes in other colours. So she ordered in two more from our other locations, basically hording them because they sell. So now I get one of those too!

Things are goin' good I got into the art institute! Got my acceptance letter this week so I start that in October. It looks like a really awesome program I'm really excited and can't wait to get back to school and meet new people and such. My family is going to be moving to the suburbs soon and that includes me. Not too happy about that as a city gal I hardly doubt I'll last out there long XD My mom suggested that when I go for student loans I see about getting them to cover some living expenses so I can move back into the city with like other college students. That would so rock my casbah right now so I'll have to look into that. For now though I'll have to move out with them. Shouldn't be too horrible *loL*

Gettin' TBE back in business which is awesome too. Ida and Sooz have been amazing helps with activities and such *kisses* Also got me site back up wooooooooot!! I don't think I'm ever shuttin' down again. Too much work recoding and restarting everything. Not to mention I was kinda scared to come back XD

Well, I got a call this morning at about 10:30am from the woman at Vivid (can't even remember her name but it's the really funky clothing store!). Anyway she was calling about the resume I dropped off and I had also spoke to the one of the girls who worked there when I dropped it off.

She (I think she who called was the owner or manager) wanted to ask me a few questions about what I expected as far as wages go and why I wanted to work in retail. Wish I could have said because that's all I can get at this point until I finish school and I need some fucking money *laughs* But I opted for babbling on about the gorgeous clothing they had and how it is important to love what you're selling and jazz like that, heh. I did mess up one thing apparently though which I of course realized after the fact when I spoke with Harlene (auntie ). I was asked how much I prefered in wages and I said $7 to $8/hour thinking that was in the high wages for retail to start with. Now I've been told that's minimum wage and that if they ask you this question, apparently this means they are usually willing to pay you more.

Now this shit just pisses me off. I need to take an interview ettiquette course or something. I see these wage questions as almost like trick questions. I mean come on as if I'm going to say "oh well I think I deserve $12/hour to start with". You know? There's no way I'd be hired in that case *rolls eyes* So I try to say something reasonable just so I can get the god damned job and now I'm probably going to get payed dinky-ish because I was trying to be polite. Dammit. Anyway hopefully I get it. I have a sort of "test shift" on Friday where I work from 2pm to 6pm so they can see how I work with custies and shite. I'm so horrible in sales though I worked at Aldo shoes and fuckin' hated it to pieces *lol* Love their shoes but hate that huge-sell-sell-sell-or-we'll-kill-you-and-don't-forget-the-add-ons environment.

So anyway when I got the call I was on my way to The Art Institute of Vancouver for an interview/get to know the school type thing. For now I'll just say the program I want is amazing and the school is so gorgeous I think I may want to go back really soon. Will get into details another day as this is just way too long now XDD
